WELCOME TO THE WJRA
THE WILLCOX JUNIOR RODEO ASSOICATION IS PROUD TO SUPPORT AND DEVELOP THE NEXT GENERATION OFRODEO ATHLETES. WITH NEARLY 200 MEMBERS IN 2025, OUR ASSOICATION CONTINUES TO GROW AS A STRONG, FAMILY FOCUSED RODEO COMMUNITY DEDICATED TO YOUTH PARTICIPATION, SPORTSMANSHIP, AND SUCESS BOTH INAND OUT OF THE ARENA.
OUR MEMBERS COMPETE IN A VARIETY OF RODEO EVENTS INCLUDING BARRELS, POLES, BREAKAWAY ROPING, TEAM ROPING, GOAT TYING, RIBBIONS, AND CALF ROPING. WE STRIVE TO PROVIDE A COMPETITIVE YET FUN ENVIRONMENT WHERE YOUNG ATHLEATES CAN BUILD CONFIDENCE, SHARPEN THEIR SKILLS, AND DEVELOP A STRONG WORK ETHIC.
AT WILLCOX JUNIOR RODEO ASSOICATION, WE BELIEVE RODEO IS ABOUT MORE THAN COMPETITION. IT IS ABOUT RESPONSIBILTY, DETERMINATION, AND LEARNING TO SET AND ACHIEVE GOALS. WE WELCOME ALL FAMILIES AND SKILL LEVELS AND ARE COMMITTED TO HELP COMPETITORS WITH DRIVE TO DO THEIR BEST IN RODEO AND IN EVERYTHING THE PURSUE.

OUR STORY
The Willcox Junior Rodeo Association (WJRA) was established in 2013 by a dedicated group of parents and volunteers who shared a common goal; to provide young cowboys and cowgirls the opportunity to compete, learn, and to grow through the sport of rodeo. From the very beginning, WJRA has been built on hark work, commitment, and a love for rodeo.
More than a decade later, that same spirit remains at the heart of our association. WJRA continues to be fully supported by parents and volunteers who generously give their time and energy to ensure every child has a chance to succeed in and out of the arena. Their dedication helps create a positive, safe and encouraging environment for all members.
Our association is also driven by the strong support of our local community. Through valued sponsorships and partnerships, WJRA is able to provide quality events, opportunities, and resources for our youth athletes. We are proud of the community that stands behind us and grateful for the support that helps shape the future of rodeo one young competitor at a time.
